My Random Thoughts & Dirty Laundry

Wednesday we went on our first field trip with Riley's class. We all went from Special K to Quinn and all of us in between. We obviously had to drive and couldn't take the bus but Riley was going to die if he couldn't ride that buss with his class so we went to the school that morning and dropped him off and followed the bus.

We got there and went on a hayride, and on the hayride we saw a pretty adorable Collie dog herding sheep and then we saw him herding some cows too. We learned about the winter crops, and how they irrigate them, the history of the farm, we went to the barn where they keep the calves (separated from their mama which was sort of sad), chickens, pigs, goats. We saw a cow getting milked and learned all about how they do it. The kids got to stick their fingers in the thing that milks them. When we got done we ate and the kids went jumping on this pillow thing it was like 20 times bigger than an inflatable jumping thing. The kids were great and we had a blast!
